I am building kitchen cabinets. Walnut crotch slabs, 9 feet in height by 36 inches wide.
The drawers (all cabinets are drawers underneath) and the doors (all the top cabinets). It is the appearance of pieces of wood going from floor to ceiling. I plan on using a thin kerf saw with hardware I designed is not placed on the face cabinet (frameless cabinets). Any suggestions from anyone? Also what should the thickness is to reduce wood movement? Slabs were oven dried. Thanks
3 / 4 "thick should be more stable for the fronts. Be sure to seal them also to prevent moisture from causing warping. I'm guessing you know cut from the back of the wood, and run through a jointer to clean edge when you are done cutting. Sound of a big project. Good luck.
