How do you fix a leak in a kitchen faucett.?
The faucet on my sink has a leak and water is dripping from the tap. When I turn the water on it sprays from the base of the handel at the joint. It is one of those 1 handel jobbers that you lift and twist to adjust the water. Any Ideas on how to fix it?
This started after a bout of cold weather. At that time I didn't have water, when the water started working it also started the dripping and leaking.

remove the handle and you will see a retaining nut that holds the ball assembly in place,and on the inside of the nut you will see a piece of white plastic(ring)setting inside of the nut,and in that plastic you'll see 2 indention's use a pair of needle nose pliers and tighten that down a little at a time this should stop the leaks and give a little longer before you have to rebuild the entire faucet,butthat'ss another question
