Where can I sell slate?
So I've got a large slab of slate from an old pool table. It's scratched up pretty bad, but I'd imagine it could still be sold for a fair amount. Anyone have any idea where I'd look to sell it?
Put it on Craigslist.com in your area and list it as:
Slate for Pond building/ Aquarium use
It can be broken up and used to build pond water features or aquarium backgrounds.
I wouldn't expect to get much for it, maybe $40 or so.
You might find someone on there that would want it for countertops, too but it would have to be someone that has the tools to cut and install it.
