Can you reuse the "skin" that forms on top of melt & pour soap?
I am new to soapmaking and am using the melt & pour method. If the soap sits too long, it develops a skin on top of the pot of soap. I understand that you're supposed to take that off before poring the soap, but can I save it and reuse it when I go to melt a new batch?
no. The skin is to stop the heat getting out, so you need to take it off. But if you really want to use it for something, why noy clour the skins with food colouring and make a collage with them? I did that, and it looked great!
