what profit can I expect to make a month selling home made candles on ebay?
I was making candles as a hobby for some years and have decided to get some additional income by selling them on ebay. Am a stay at home mum so pleanty of time to do such something. From the experience of others, how much can you expect to make a profit? The cost of making candles is ten pound ten, selling every one to two pound. Obviously I can calculate the income, but from others experience how reliable are selling on ebay for a regular income? Basically I just want to hear another trials and errors
Well, I'm making candles for about 8 years now. When I first started, I was really excited about putting of it on eBay, but then discovered that a lot of times, people only find the really good deal ... which translates to cheap candles! If you can get your name out there and build a loyal customer base, which may help. If it pretty hard when people can not physically hold the product in their hands and smell the fragrances. I've just finished up setting up my own website, and that seems to work much better. Good luck, maybe ... you see your market better than I did!
