repair of plaster work?
I have an old house in Sicily, no natural moist coarse, and chunks of plaster are falling in different place! About half a centimeter thick! Now before I start the repairs, it is necessary to "size" the repair site and impress them! Apparently a scoop of concrete under the plaster! Also it best to arrange with the same adhesive, or use a mix concrete? If I recall correctly, it reacts against plaster and lifts? Any help is appreciated, not plastered before!
First of all --- do they plaster washers repair --- These are quarter-size and full of holes with a screw hole in the middle so they spackled on --- you want to try to surround and secure the area by driving them to anything substantial can found under --- Remove any crumbling plaster that without getting carried away and taking the whole wall down. I recommend plaster of paris for patching. it are inclined to flash from workable dry quickly to start off small to get a feel of it, plaster of Paris will also be mixed with regular Spackle to give you a mix is more comfortable. Not that it will find washers in any of the big box stores-even if they dont know what is available mine by the way by on-line stores but you can find them in smaller hardware stores.
