How do I clean and use the extra dirt in my yard for a planter box?
I have lots of etra dirt in my yard and would like to use it. However it is overgrown with weeds and grass. Is there a way to clean it and make it frieldy to use for flowers in a planter. I already tired to rototill it and used a grass and weed killer, but the grass and weeds grew back.
i have a large planter box to fill it is 5 feet by 40 feet and 1 foot high. I need a lot of dirt. I would really like to use the etra dirt in my yard that is just taking up space
Do not use the dirt from your garden in pots. You need a light mixture such as peat moss,perlite,and compost. You could make this up your self or buy it in garden center or even super markets. Dirt from garden is too heavy and has weed killer that plants might not take too.
