Composite moldings are simply designed products manufactured from a composite material, one such composite material is GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic), GRP Composite moldings can be manufactured for use in various sectors of industry, such as,

Composite moldings are manufactured with the help of a mold, mildew is a reverse of the product, mold can be male or female depending on the design of the product, the mold is usually made from fiberglass, but can also wood, latex, or metal, the mold will require several coats of a mold release agent, remember before running the mold of an additional coat of PVA (vinyl Alcohol Mario) release agent is also good practice, it will help the first product to release from the mold of the risk of sticking.

1. This process begins to mold the painted or sprayed with gel coat of the desired color; the polyester gel coat layer that is providing pre-colored finish to MOLDED part, the gel coat is allowed to cure, but it remains attractive, it is good, the tacky and then enable a good bond for the laminate,
2. When the gel-coat is cured, a layer of glass fiber is then applied behind the gel coat, the layer of glass-fiber is then filled with resin, the full glass-fiber then rolled in a special roller, it is to remove any trapped air, and to consolidate the glass-fibers, more layers of glass-fiber applied and adopted until the required thickness is achieved, the laminate then left to harden and cure.
3. When laminate is cured, the product is released from the mold, The product is usually left in the mold for twenty four hours, it ensures that the product has no imperfections, such as, by printing from the glass-fiber, shrink the gel-coat ect, but remember, if there are any defects like the one just mentioned, these can all be rectified by an expert operative.
