I have a problem with mold in my council house which is all over the walls and ceilings in all 3 bedrooms?
We have the heating on alot as the house always feels cold and we also have the windows open in the day time.
I have phoned the council twice now which was before xmas and i still have'nt had anyone come out to have a look.
So i phoned the council again yesterday and they said the job was still waiting for the inspector to deal with as he had been off of work and there was only 2 inspectors who deal with all of there propertys.
I took a look up in the loft/ roof and could see old carpet and cardbord wedged into it, im not sure why this is.
We have lived hear a year now, and since moving hear i have had bad breathing problems, the doctor has told me it is asthma.
My curtains and wallpaper are wrecked through all the mold.
Does anyone know why the roof would have carpet and cardbord wedged into it and why the celings have big cracks around the edges and through the centers, also can we claim anything, and should the council make us wait all this time.

Run, quickly, mold can cause great harm to you and whoever lives there. Start a "paper trail", send and keep all written items informing and requesting action concerning this matter. And any response from them. Mold is often the results of trapped dampness or moisture. It's spores can easily become airborne and inhaled. If you believe that you are being ignored, perhaps seeking legal council is a good thing to pursue.
