I have a mini rose bush and the new growth is a lighter green. Is this a problem?
I got it in December when it was very cold and it looked pretty good for awhile then it stopped producing flowers. I wonder if it needs more sunlight.
This means it is healthy. New growth is naturally a lighter shade. Once it grows out a little farther the color darkens. This is because the plant has to decide if the new growth will survive and be a benefit to the plant, if it does then more nutrients will be diverted to it and hence the darker color.
