Is religion starting to die in America?
After taking a trip to Europe, I realized that the church is really dying out there because the younger generations have no interest in it any more. With the plummeting economy and rapid exchange of information over the internet/media, do you think the church is going to survive in America?
If America remains peaceful and continues towards true knowledge without superstition, religion should continue to die off.
Its in times of uncertainty and war, that religion gets its surge. That is when people are most fearful, and concerned about matters of death.
That is also why religion is very strong in areas of superstition (Third world areas) where proper schooling and education is lower... its fear of the unknown that drives it.
So unless a big war breaks out on the hometurf, it should continue to decline.
