is it safe to use liquid stitches on pets?
my friends dog has a gash on him and he doesn't have enough money for a vet would liquid stitches be safe to use? the kind for people? or is there something bad in it?
This dog needs to go to the vet. If he will not take the dog in, call animal control so that it can get proper vet care.
Yes, dermabond type products are safe for animals, but your friend does not sound like he's a good enough owner to use it. The wound needs to be extensively cleaned or the dermabond will create a haven for infection. If the wound is deep or wide enough, it will not work. If the wound is a dirty cut, the dog will need several shots to ensure that he doesn't get sick.
