What does Photoshop CS4 offer that can't be done in Gimp? Tools? swatches? what is the difference in effects?
What will I be missing out on if i settle for the free GIMP software instead of Photoshop CS4.
What is in Photoshop that isn't in GIMP?
Please note I hate the layout of the cheaper Photoshop Element 7, so that isn't a option.
Gimp can do almost every thing that photoshop CS4 can do. Read my Answer for this other Question i Answered and it will tell you how you can use some photoshop filters and photoshop brushes in gimp.

You can also use photoshop filter`s in other photo editing software that are freeware down load`s. Here are some of them.

P.S.You will also need commander light to change some phothshope filter`s to 8bf file`s so they will work in gimp and vicman`s and irfanview.here is where you can get commander light.
