Scabies is a highly contagious skin condition that occurs due to infestation with parasitic mites. The mite responsible for causing scabies in humans is a microscopic organism called Sarcoptes scabiei var. hominis. Although many other types of mites that cause scabies in animals, they are not capable of infesting humans.Sarcoptes scabiei var. hominis may be obtained either directly, by entering in contact with infested people, or indirectly, by entering in contact with contaminated items. When they find someone to host, scabies mites climb onto the skin and hide the more exposed regions of the body. Scabies mites usually infest the toes, feet, ankles, knees, the genitals, the buttocks, the upper back, elbows and wrists. Rarely, scabies mites can infest even the scalp and face.
Unless doctor recommends otherwise, permethrin should only be used twice, the local applications 5-7 days apart. As in the case of similar scabies medicine, the applications of permethrin should not be washed off the skin for 12 hours. After this period of time, permethrin should be removed from the skin surface using hot water and irritant soap. The treatment is best applied to the skin not only with love, but the skin of the body (the area between the fingers and toes, the regions of the feet, ankles, knees, elbows, wrists, lower abdomen, genitals, buttocks, armpits, and nipples). In the case of very young patients (children and infants), elderly patients and patients with immune system deficiencies, the application of permethrin should include the regions of neck, face, ears and scalp.
While the first symptoms of scabies can occur within a week past parasitic mites, the first clear signs of infestation can be spotted only after several weeks. The incipient stages of infestation, scabies is developing symptoms such as persistent itching, erythema and rash. Later symptoms include the presence of burrows in the outer layers of the skin, blisters, pustules and even nodules. It is essential to avoid scratching, as this can lead to serious skin infections.Sarcoptes scabiei var. hominis is the kind of itch mite that can infest a person. The adult female is tiny hole in the top layer of skin and deposits eggs. The resulting infestation can be very irritating and present a "rash scabies" symptoms may not appear until 2-6 weeks after the first exposure but more quickly if the person is infested before. An infested person can transmit scabies even though they show no symptoms.

Many medicines available for the treatment of Scabies, doctor of medicine in Pharmaceuticals over the counter creams. And often, they only treat the symptoms and not the root cause. Treatment

Not only should the infested person is treated properly, but, according to CDC bedding ", clothing, and towels used by infested people or their homes, sexual, and close contacts any hours for three days before treatment should be decontaminated by washing with hot water and drying in a hot dryer, with real cleaning, or by sealing in a plastic bag for at least 72 hours. The treatment prescription consists of a lotion called Elimite contains permethrin and safe use in children too. Lotion should be applied the body from neck to toes before bedtime and wash off in the morning. The treatment must be repeated. It is not recommended to use a lotion based on lindane due to its high toxicity rate especially in children. In pregnant women only permethrin safe use.Scabies is transmittable to family members, roommates, sexual partners and residents in crowded areas. Check-up is necessary for all people to see if they got infected or not. For severe itching, the skin may get infection and antibiotic drug treatment should followed.The doctor should be called if you suspect scabies are infected because your home remedies can not cure disease. The symptoms for scabies is severe itching especially at night and red marks and blisters on fingers, the elbows, the wrists and all around the waist.
