How do you remove acrylic paint off plaster walls that originally painted with a glossy oil-based paint?
I think original paint on the walls is oil based. It's white and shiny. The wall paint is the main wall paint can buy from hardware stores and is in an old plaster walls. I accidentally got acrylic paint on wall painting from a frame. How do I remove the multi-colored acrylic paint? (And I know I'll have to re-touch-up the original white color when I'm done). Thanks for your help!
Just paint it. Wall paints are designed to hide what is under it. BTW: most wall paints are latex based, not oil. If you _really_ want to remove the first spot, then go get some the TSP from a paint or hardware store. Caution: TSP is powerful stuff and it will remove all the paint coming in contact with. It will also dissolve / melt carpet strip and varnish from furniture and hard wood floors, so be careful with it. You need to paint the places you use TSP. Or, you to try to ad-off spot with a knife or similar items and fill the gouges with spackle.
