            Pendant lighting is a trend that is gaining popularity in residential and commercial renovations. Not only can pendant lights be used to create a warm and inviting atmosphere in your living room, kitchen, hallways and bedrooms but it can also add a touch of unique design into your home or business. Lighting may seem like a rather simple matter to consider during a renovation project but there are many factors to consider including; style, brightness and color.             There are various methods available to light different rooms and all of them have advantages and disadvantages. The common table lamp, for example, is great for adding extra light in dark corners and uses relatively little electricity to run but cannot usually provide enough light for an entire room. Floor lamps are typically higher up and can provide more light but will generally require two or three in different areas of one room to provide adequate amounts of light. Ceiling lighting is a great solution to most lighting questions because its height and central location can typically light an entire room with only one fixture.

            Pendant ceiling lights are a beautiful addition to any room and are available in a variety of architectural styles from Victorian to Modern. A pendant lamp is traditionally used as an alternative to chandeliers which require additional space and can look inappropriate in smaller rooms. A pendant lamp is traditionally a single light hanging down from the ceiling. Many of these lights come in a variety of lengths and can be adjusted to fit the room height.
