antique oak desk help find info on MFG.?
I have a Victorian antique oak carved desk, under the drawer there is a stamp that says, Henry Docherty, 1328 Kensington, Youngstown Ohio. I assumed this was the mfg. of the desk but when I do a search, nothing comes up with this mans name. Any ideas on how to find info about who made the desk?
That may be who it belonged to, maybe look him up in the directory in Youngstown Ohio. Ya never know if it came from an antique dealer, oak express or where unless you search for antique shops in youngstown etc.. unless you can get a hold of this Henry Docherty.
