fare trade with united states of____? you fill in the blank?
should we as canadian's pressure our gov. to increase prices of hydro, water and oil to compensate the loss of revenue due to unfair trade practices of the usa? we have won in court many times, we are right, the americans have had no right to charge tarrifs on our lumber. but some how they get to keep some of the money?? and now the price of our wood will be tied to our dollar. this means if our dollar is high(at which point we make no money) we can ship our wood. if the dollar is low than thay charge tarrifs, this is the very thing the courts (in the usa no less) said is wrong and illegal. we signed a free trade agreement how can one side change it at will to suit themselves. we are being punished for having better quality wood, maximizing technology to increase production, at the same time providing safe good paying jobs. but the yankee doodle dandies say no we can't make a profit untill their own companies do. screw them , lets tax everything they ship north. we can play hardball
I'm from America and I don't think that is right. America has some stupid laws.
For example if I invest in off shore investments I have to still turn it in so the IRS can tax it. If I don't I will get charged with tax invasion. The funny thing is this isn't their money it is from another country.
